It all started with a Tattoo

Updated: Aug 26, 2021

William Jennings Bryan once said: "Destiny is no matter of chance. it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."

It is debated that each one of us has a destiny, and that it is neither decided by birth nor acquired by mere chance; our destinies are thought to be bound to the choices we settle-on or fail to make. However, my journey explains it differently; so buckle up, because I have a story to share and it is one hell of a spiel.

April 2nd, 2007: It was my birthday. I woke up fixated on the idea of giving myself a birthday present, a tattoo on my ankle; as crazy as that sounds, and having had no design or idea in mind - google translate was celebrating year 1 since they had launched the service - I opened my browser, typed "google translate" in the domain section, chose languages to be English and Traditional Chinese, wrote my name "ADHAM", and there you go, I knew what my Tattoo design was... bombshell! I did it on the same day!

Fast forward to May 2011: after enrolling in a Chinese Language School and taking 3 Chinese lingo lessons, the obvious question I had to ask the teacher was "what does my Tattoo read & mean?". Deliberately, she replied to my question with another question: "are

you Canadian?". I was flabbergasted when she continued by saying: "this translates into - I am Canadian"!

Dreams, goals, emotions, beliefs, past and future plans, they all started racing inside my brain, trying to find the link between this destined tattoo and the fact that I had started the immigration process to Canada with a lawyer only a few months before joining the language center to learn Chinese.

YES, this is the Tattoo that changed my destiny. YES, this is the tattoo design that I chose for a totally unknown reason one morning. And YES, this is the tattoo that served as the universe's guide for me to believe that I made a sane decision by choosing to immigrate to Canada.

If you are reading this blog, chances are you are seriously considering to immigrate to Canada, and you might have already realized that the immigration process is a journey that is both exciting and daunting.

The Canadianization Capsule is a platform built for those of you who are destined to move to Canada to make it their future home, and for those of you who want to learn about the hidden secrets of this beautiful country, and about the immigration journey from another immigrant's perspective.

By telling my story like it is while at the same time providing you with immigration tips and tools necessary for achieving your relocation goals, I will help you understand the realistic potential you have to make your dream come true, and to re-mold your future in Canada. This may take some extensive efforts and many months in preparation, but the bright future awaiting will get you through it, and into a destined future of your choice!

This is very inspiring. While I have already made the move to Canada, I will definitely be recommending this block to friends of mine that are considering it. I look forward to reading more on the blog!
